About the Recipe
This isn't your grandmother's meatloaf. It's a masterpiece that marries American comfort food with bold Asian flavors, featuring a harmonious blend of sweet soy sauce, sesame oil, and fresh ginger. The exterior develops a glossy, caramelized crust that gives way to a tender, juicy interior infused with aromatic hints of garlic and green onions – a fusion creation that's simultaneously familiar and adventurous.

Step 3
Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, black pepper, cooked vegetables, and half of the hoisin sauce ketchup mixture in a large bowl.
Step 4
Most people use a loaf pan, but I am not most people! I prefer to use a muffin pan. It's easier to drain the fat, cooks more quickly, and makes the meatloaf into ready-to-serve portions.
Muffin Pan Option: Roll mixture into portions that will fit into two regular sized muffin pans. Bake for about 20-25 minutes and then drain the fat. Spread the remaining hoisin sauce mixture on top of each muffin. Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes.
Loaf Pan Option: Put mixtrue into 9x5 inch loaf pan. Bake for around 45 minutes. Drain the fat and then spread remaining hoisin sauce mixture on top of meatloaf. Cook for an additional 15 minutes.
Instead of the traditional mashed potatoes, try serving the meatloaf over a bed of rice. Try a crunchy Asian Romain Noodle Slaw as a side dish.
